Piano Chords

Basic piano chords come in two forms, major and minor. Major piano chords are different than minor chords. Major chords on the piano use prominent notes, while minor chords do not.

Piano chords all have a root in a certain note. Major chords are rooted in different notes than minor chords. One of the most well known major chords is rooted in middle C.

Piano chords are used by musicians of all levels. Beginning piano players use chords to learn songs. Advanced musicians use chords to play advanced songs, and sometimes they compose their own songs as well.
